I have struggled with the instillation of pinned hinges. Epoxy is too messy and hard to insert into the hinge slot and Elmers wood glue may not hold.
I have used Gorilla glue for Depron foam and find it very strong but it expands 3-4 times as it cures. You must pin, tape, or clamp the parts to prevent separation.
