  R/C CLUB MINUTES

JAN 20 2011

 

 The meeting was called to order by our new president Vince LaPort.

 

We discussed topics for future meetings, and events that are coming up.

Bob Cole has a friend that will come to a meeting to give a talk on an old airplane, that belonged to Charles  Lindburg.

 

Last year we were present for Kids Day at the Y. We will do this again this year. Vince will get the date.

 

Bob Cole was appointment safety officer. Let’s all think safety and help him out.

 

Bob will purchase a fire extinguisher, and check on safety fence to be used on the flight line as needed.

Note, I have acquired a couple of extinguishers that are out dated to be used on our work sites. They are unused, and should be serviceable.

 

 A motion was passed to pay our AMA  charter fees of $90.

 

A motion was passed to pay the field rent, when we get the insurance certificate back from AMA.

 

A motion was passed to have our fun fly on May 22. It’s a little earlier than last years, but there will be fewer conflicts with other events.

 

Stu is chairman for the mall show, Denny is vice. Stu will check on mall dates of April 10 or 17.

 

Vince brought in his new foam pylon racer he will be flying in Iowa.
