ESCs are not created equal

I installed a Hobby King 18A ESC this week and it worked for 5 minutes then died. My experience with HK ESCs has been poor. I had a HK 40A ESC last summer that was dead on
arrival. Now, the good news – my Castle Creations ICE 75 ESC
arrived today – WOW! It looks very robust and is easy to program
with the optional card or via USB linker to you Windows PC with free
software. The ESC also logs flight data for later download. I am
planning to install this ESC on my HK500 with Turnigy Typhoon 500
motor and 6s 2650 Turnigy lipo.
