HowTO – R/C flight simulators
05/08/16
Flight Simulators are very useful to learn the basics with out the crash headache.
Many simulators are available that work with a simple dedicated USB transmitter box or you can buy interconnect cables to adapt to your own R/C transmitter.
Simulators vary in cost and quality from $0 to $ 150.
My favorites:
$0 – ClearviewSE - http://rcflightsim.com/
FREE – Phoenix 5.5 - this website is very complete with setup instructions -
https://www.rc-thoughts.com/phoenix-sim/
These simulators are available for Windows PC machines.
Their are very few sims available for Apple/Mac but they do exist.
Several sims are available for iPad devices.
For controller box I like - Dynam USB rc flight simulator – search in ebay or Amazon – about $25.
Or get proper dongle for your own transmitter - see - https://www.rc-thoughts.com/phoenix-sim/
Search ebay for "RC USB Flight Simulator With Cables For Phoenix" - cost about $15
Practice, practice and practice.
Luck,
Vince
